At Level 4 the game switches to verbs. You match the infinitive with its Perfekt form, like gehen and ist gegangen. Level 5 uses the Präteritum, like fahren and er fuhr. That is exactly where many intermediate learners get stuck.
How to play German memory game
- Pick a level. Levels 1 to 3 are noun pairs, Level 4 is Perfekt, Level 5 is Präteritum.
- Tap a card to flip it, then tap a second card.
- If they belong together, they stay open. If not, they flip back after a moment.
- Clear the board in as few moves as you can. Your time and moves are your score.
- Share your result and try the next puzzle.
